Louisville 4-star IOL signee Madden Sanker talks coaching changes, sticking with Cardinals
Regardless of what coaching changes happened at Louisville, Douglasville (Ga.) South Paulding four-star interior offensive lineman Madden Sanker was going to stay true to his commitment to the Cardinals.
When new head coach Jeff Brohm arrived in December, several people may have thought that Sanker would decommit from the Cardinals. However, he remained true to his word and the fans with his signing.
“The biggest thing for me is the fans, the atmosphere there and what they expect from this class,” Sanker, the No. 180 overall player and No. 11 interior offensive lineman in the 2023 On3 Consensus told On3. “I committed to a school and not the coaches so I decided to stay true with my commitment. I never had any doubts about Louisville.
“As soon as I put pen to paper, it felt like a weight got lifted off of me. There was a lot of people doubting I’d keep my commitment to show them that I was, (that) felt good.”

Former Louisville coach Scott Satterfield moved to Cincinnati on Dec. 5. Three days later, the Cardinals brought Brohm in to lead the program.
Sanker took that opportunity to take a visit to Louisville and meet his new head coach. While he didn’t have any doubts about his commitment, the meeting with Brohm brought a newfound excitement for his future.
“I talked to Coach Brohm a good bit,” Sanker said. “We sat down and talked about how this offense is going to score a lot and he showed me what he did at Purdue with little time and little talent. I think if he can do that at Purdue, then he can do that at Louisville and take us to a national championship.”
