Miller Moss admonishes people playing basketball in driveway of his burned Palisades home, false description
The recent wildfires in California were some of the worst in US history and thousands of people lost everything, including their homes. Members of the USC football team were affected by the fires, including former Trojans quarterback Miller Moss.
He came across a video of two people playing basketball on his basketball court on Twitter, and he was not happy about it.
“This is not life, and this is not Pali High. This is my family’s home, and those are utter strangers. These people are playing on the hoop I grew up with in front of what remains our home. This is a community trying to rebuild; and this type of behavior does the opposite,” Moss explained.
Miller Moss revealed on Thursday his family lost their home
Amid the raging wildfires in the Los Angeles area, thousands have been displaced, including the family of former USC and current Louisville quarterback Miller Moss.
Moss took to Twitter on Thursday to reveal that his family’s home had been destroyed in the fires. He issued a call to lock arms in solidarity as a community as relief efforts begin over the next several weeks.

“I was born and raised in Pacific Palisades,” Moss wrote. “This town was my home, neighborhood, and community for the first 18 years of my life. My family’s home, my grandmother’s home, as well as countless friends’ homes have been reduced to ash and rubble.”
First responders continue to battle the blazes in various locations, hoping to beat back the fire before any further destruction ensues. According to the Associated Press, more than 1,000 structures have already been destroyed in the wildfires, making it one of the most catastrophic events in the region’s history.
Moss called for the community to rise up amid the bleak backdrop.
“It is the unfortunate reality that regardless of political identity, we have been systematically and universally failed by our present leadership,” Moss wrote. “To say that is not to align yourself on either side of a political spectrum, but to render an objective assessment of what has transpired.
“Despite this, however, I know the community I grew up in, and have every belief that the Palisades will rise up in the face of unfathomable heartache and destruction. I will be putting some things together in the coming days to help with the relief effort; any and all help is welcomed with open arms,” Moss finished.
