3-star OT Ransom McDermott commits to Louisville Cardinals
Noblesville (Ind.) three-star offensive tackle Ransom McDermott announced that he has committed to the Louisville Cardinals.
The 6-foot-7, 270-pounder is the No. 1,125 overall prospect and No. 81 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 17 player in Indiana.
McDermott had visited Louisville four times prior to his commitment with the latest visit coming on March 25. He also visited Kentucky and West Virginia this spring.
With McDermott’s commitment, the Cardinals now have four commitments in Jeff Brohm’s first full class with the program. The class ranks as the No. 17 class in the country and the No. 3 class in the ACC.

Louisville’s other 2024 commitments include Miami (Fla.) Columbus TJ Capers, four-star running back Isaac Brown and New Braunfels (Texas) Canyon three-star quarterback Deuce Adams.
The Cardinals wrapped up the 2023 recruiting cycle with the No. 27 class in the country and the No. 4 class in the ACC. They only 15 recruits in that cycle including four-star EDGE Adonijah Green, four-star interior offensive lineman Madden Sanker, four-star linebacker Stanquan Clark and four-star quarterback Pierce Clarkson.
