Tennessee transfer LB Kalib Perry signs with Louisville
LB Kalib Perry has signed with Louisville from the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Perry spent the past three seasons at Tennessee. He made 37 appearances while on Rocky Top.
In those games with the Vols, Perry posted 61 tackles and a forced fumble. That includes a career-best season this fall as a junior with 26 tackles and that turnover.
Perry, a native of Georgetown an hour and a half outside of Louisville, played high school football at Great Crossing. He was the No. 793 overall prospect there as a three-star in the 2022 cycle. He also rated as a Top-100 LB and the No. 6 player out of the state of Kentucky. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Now, per On3’s 2025 Top Transfer Portal Players, Perry is the No. 46 LB and the No. 566 overall transfer.
Perry is now the 17th addition out of the portal during this cycle for the Cards. He comes in alongside QB Miller Moss (USC), DB JoJo Evans (Florida International), WR TJ McWilliams (Minnesota), and a pair of corners in Rodney Johnson (Southern) and Justin Agu (Louisiana). They’ve reworked both lines as well with five on offense with tackles in Mahamane Moussa (Purdue), Naeer Jackson (Florida International), and Makylan Pounders (Mississippi State) and two in the interior with Carter Guillaume (Southeast Missouri State) and Jordan Church (Florida Atlantic). They’ve then added two defensive linemen in Jerry Lawson (Abilene Christian) and Denzel Lowry (Old Dominion) and three defensive ends in Wesley Bailey (Rutgers), Clev Lubin (Coastal Carolina), and Demon Clowney (Charlotte).
