Three-star PG Fabio Basili commits to Louisville, returns to 2022
Orlando (Fla.) Oak Ridge three-star point guard Fabio Basili will return to the 2022 Class and has signed with Louisville.
The 6-foot-4, 175-pound Florida native recently reclassified to 2023, but ultimately decided to return to his original class. He will suit up for the ‘Cards for the upcoming 2022-23 season. Louisville was Basili’s only reported visit. He also received offers from Kansas State, DePaul, Chattanooga, and Florida Atlantic.
Basili is unranked nationally, according to On3, but is still considered a three-star recruit.
During his senior season at Oak Ridge, Basili averaged 20 points, 4.8 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game. He also shot 55 percent from the field and 39 percent from three-point land. Basili is also a former teammate of current Cardinal Mike James.
Basili on his commitment to Louisville
“I chose Louisville because it was the best environment for me to succeed, from the coaching staff to my education,” Basili said to On3.
