2024 Four-Star ATH Joseph Stone Jr. commits to LSU
Class of 2024 four-star athlete Joseph Stone Jr. of Loganville (GA) Grayson announced his commitment to LSU Monday evening.
The 6-foot, 180 pounder chose the Tigers over Georgia, Michigan, Florida, and others.
Stone on why he chose LSU
“I felt LSU’s culture and plan for me as a player fits perfectly for me to be successful from the way the people are, to the passion for the tigers, and lastly the relationships I have down there in Baton Rouge.”
Coach Hankton and Stone have great relationship
“I’m really cool with the whole entire staff but the relationship me and coach Hank has goes way back to when he was at UGA,” Stone said. “Coach Hank and I have a great relationship, we’ve had a connection for a while now. His way of development and plan for me as a player I feel will lead me to success.”

Joseph Stone Jr. Scouting Summary
“Versatile athlete who plays a number of positions for perennial Georgia power, Grayson High,” On3’s Director of Scouting Charles Power wrote. “Plays quarterback, running back and wide receiver at Grayson. Shows good agility and adequate play speed with the ball in his hands. Has worked out as a wide receiver on the camp circuit, but could also project as a defensive back at the next level. Shows a good feel for working in space as a ball carrier. Has grown over an inch since his sophomore year, now checking in around 5-foot-10.5, 180 pounds. Does not have many athletic testing numbers to speak of, and ran track as a sophomore with a personal best of 11.70 seconds in the 100 meters. Has some genuine positional ambiguity that should be hammered out moving forward.”
Stone ranks as the No. 183 player in the On300 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts for all four major recruiting sites. He also tabs in as the No. 14 athlete and the No. 30 player in the state of Georgia.
