2024 top-300 QB Mabrey Mettauer visiting LSU this weekend
The Woodlands (Texas) four-star quarterback Mabrey Mettauer announced Tuesday night that he is taking an unofficial visit to LSU this weekend for the Tigers’ game against Tennessee. This trip marks Mettauer’s third to Baton Rouge and first since June 5.
Mettauer is the No. 275 overall prospect and No. 19 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 44 player in Texas.
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, LSU is leading for Mettauer’s commitment at 40.9%. Ole Miss has the next-best chance for the 6-foot-5.5, 225 pound signal-caller at 12.7%.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

The Tigers have recently hosted other quarterback prospects from the class of 2024. Both Willis (Texas) four-star quarterback DJ Lagway and Carlsbad (Calif.) four-star quarterback Julian Sayin took unofficial visits to LSU for the New Mexico game on Sept. 24. Lagway and Sayin are two of the top five quarterbacks in the On3 Consensus.
Mettauer has an On3 NIL Valuation of $36K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
