Angel Reese fuels speculation with response to LSU Senior Day announcement
On March 3, LSU will celebrate standout forward Angel Reese’s legendary career for senior day against Kentucky. However, the All-American may not be done yet. Ahead of the Tigers’ matchup against Tennessee on Sunday, Reese posted a cryptic message on social media.
“Should I stay, should I go? I don’t know,” Reese wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
A Baltimore native, Reese began her career with the Maryland Terrapins. Nonetheless, after two years, Reese packed her bags and moved across the country to Baton Rouge. In her debut campaign with the Tigers, Reese boosted the team to a national championship while reeling in the Final Four Most Outstanding Player Award.
Reese led the SEC in both scoring (23.0 ppg) and rebounding (15.4 rpg), becoming just the fifth player in conference history to lead the league in both categories. Additionally, she set an NCAA record with 34 double-doubles during the season.
While Reese hasn’t boasted the same statistics this season, she’s still been excellent. Reese is averaging 19.4 points and 12.8 rebounds per game while shooting an efficient 51% from the field. LSU head coach Kim Mulkey believes Reese has also taken a step forward in leadership this year.

“Angel’s leadership can best be, maybe described is the word, but how hard you play in practice,” Mulkey said. “How hard do you play in practice as this last month kind of comes to a close for her career at LSU? Just play hard. And if she does that then the rest of them will play hard and they’ll play with a lot of confidence when she’s playing hard.”
Angel Reese winning off the court
Now, it appears there’s a chance LSU will enjoy Reese’s leadership against next season. After all, the 6-foot-3 superstar isn’t exactly living the typical college lifestyle. Reese boasts an On3 NIL valuation of $1.7 million, the seventh-most of any collegiate athlete.
She has signed on as an ambassador for the multicultural hair care brand Mielle Organics. When she went to the White House with her LSU team last May, she didn’t just wear a black dress. No, Reese sported a look curated just for her by the FashionNova brand. Starring in this past year’s SI Swimsuit edition gave her one of the most sought-after modeling gigs in the industry.
And the junior forward announced a multi-year partnership with Reebok back in October. As part of her agreement with Reebok, she has a curated portal of products on Reebok.com, named “Angel’s Picks.”
On top of her own dedicated portion of the online store, Reese and Reebok are partnering on her own capsule collection for fall/winter 2024. She will also provide input and feedback on design and product ahead of Reebok’s basketball re-launch.
