Angel Reese, Kim Mulkey and other LSU players celebrate Elite Eight berth with Tik Tok
Angel Reese and Kim Mulkey are dancing their way to the Elite Eight, both figuratively and literally. The LSU women’s basketball star and coach teamed up with fellow Tigers player Aneesah Morrow and assistant coach Gary Redus to make a Tik Tok in celebration of their 78-69 win against UCLA.
The LSU hoops members seemed to clearly be enjoying themselves as they are now just one win away from reaching the Final Four in defense of their national title. They will face Iowa and Caitlin Clark, whom they defeated in the 2023 national title, to get there. You can view the moment below.
Reese once again finished with a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds in Saturday’s victory. It marked her ninth straight double-double in an NCAA Tournament game dating back to last season, the third longest such streak in history.
Reese would go on to foul out of the game in the final moments, but by then the victory had already been secured. The Tigers ended the contest on an 8-1 run to pull away.
Kim Mulkey and Angel Reese will now aim for their second straight national championship together after winning in 2023. They will take on the Hawkeyes on Monday with the time still yet to be announced.

Flau’jae Johnson leads LSU to the win against UCLA
Guard Flau’jae Johnson was phenomenal in the win, scoring a game-high 24 points in the contest on 7-of-11 shooting, which included a 2-of-2 mark from beyond the 3-point line. She took over in the final frame, securing a key rebound in the waning moments to finally put some distance between the two teams.
“I’ve been focused. I’ve been in the gym. I’ve been locked in,” Johnson told ESPN’s Holly Rowe after the game. “Every day I’m in the gym putting in that work, every day. Because I know people are going to discredit me because I rap and I hoop, so I know I’ve got to go extra hard. So that’s what I do, I be in the gym.”
Johnson chipped in a team-high 12 rebounds, as well, recording her first double-double since Nov. 17. It was well worth the wait for the Tigers.
The game was tied after both the first and the third quarter, but both times LSU found ways to close strong at the end of a half. Ultimately that led to the win, as both teams navigated late foul trouble.
