Arguably the surprise of Week 1 in college football was Florida State. Many predicted the Seminoles would win on Sunday night against LSU but the second half was truly a blowout. Brian Kelly will have to get back to the drawing board, needing to reset following his team’s performance in Orlando.

LSU football players are not the only ones paying the price for the Florida State loss. Women’s basketball star Angel Reese was on the losing end of a friendly wager with her boyfriend, Cam’Ron Fletcher. A Seminoles basketball player, Fletcher and Reese both bet on their respective schools.

“So y’all know my boyfriend plays for FSU MBB,” the tweet from Reese began. “So we made a bet that whoever wins the game tomorrow has to wear the other team’s gear to school on Tuesday. COME ON TIGERS. Y’ALL KNOW WHAT TO DO.”

Well, as we know, LSU did not come out victorious and Reese had to pay up. Fletcher posted a picture on his Instagram story of Reese sporting some Florida State gear. She not only had a hoodie but also some pants on, repping the Seminoles. Surprisingly, she looks pretty happy to be paying off the bet.

You can check out Reese wearing Florida State gear from head to toe here.

Reese is not exactly used to losing after her recent season in Baton Rouge. LSU just lost two games all season while making a run to the Final Four in Dallas. The national championship trophy wound up leaving the Lone Star State in favor of the Boot, with the Tigers winning their first title in program history.

The plan for the 2023-2024 season will be to do the same. Mulkey has reloaded the roster in addition to returning stars like Reese. LSU is going to be one of, if not the favorite to cut down the nets in Cleveland next April.

But when LSU lost on Sunday, Reese was mad. She was on the sidelines for the game and was tweeting out how she “hates” losing bets — especially to Fletcher.

Who knows, maybe Reese will get a rematch somewhere down the line. Both Florida State and LSU are projected to have great seasons. If things crumble the right way, maybe there will be some kind of rematch once the regular season is over.

For now, Reese will just have to live with the photo of her in Florida State gear.
