Former LSU pitcher Blake Money was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 12th round of the 2023 MLB Draft. He was one of the Tigers’ pitchers who helped lead them to a national crown in Omaha during the 2023 season. On Thursday, Money made the announcement on his Twitter page that he would be officially signing with the Baltimore Orioles and that he would not be returning to Baton Rouge for another season.

Check out his announcement below.

“First and foremost, I want to thank God for the opportunity to play the game of baseball. I want to thank my parents for their unwavering love and support throughout my career. To my siblings, Morgan, Logan, and Cash, your love and support has meant the world to me. I want to thank Coach Mainieri and Coach Johnson for giving me this opportunity to represent the purple and gold for my college career! To my teammates, I love each and everyone of you. It was a privilege and an honor to play alongside y’all everyday. To the greatest fans in college baseball and the city of Baton Rouge, thank you for embracing a young and goofy 18 year-old kid with open arms. I hope I left a positive impact on those I encountered. My heart will forever bleed purple and gold! Geaux Tigers! Blake Money #44”
