Class of 2024 athlete PJ Woodland of Hattiesburg (MS) Oak Grove High announced his commitment to LSU Sunday evening.

The 6-foot, 160 pounder was previously committed to Mississippi State.

“Just the history of DBU, wanting to continue the legacy of it. I really believe in Coach Kelly and Coach Steeples, and I’m ready to work. Go Tigers!”

His relationship with the coaching staff and their plan for him played a role in his decision as well.

“I have a really great relationship with the staff,” Woodland said. “Guys like Sherm, Coach Hicks, me and Tate coming from the same area as well. Coach Kelly says he likes that I play both sides of the ball and wants athletes. He loves what I do and I trust in DBU!”
