Dylan Crews continues LSU tradition, flashes 'ring me' celebration at College World Series
Dylan Crews is so close to winning a national championship. LSU is in the midst of blowing Florida out in Game 3, capping off what has been a magical College World Series run in impressive fashion. For somebody who could have gone professional straight out of high school, Monday night has to be an incredible feeling for Crews.
Even with the game out of hand, Crews has found a way to deliver. In Crews’ second to last plate appearance as a college player, he was able to rip a triple in the right-center alley, sliding in head-first. Crews called time and stood up before pulling out a familiar celebration.
‘Ring me’ was what Crews pointed out toward the LSU dugout. Don’t worry, Dylan. Those will be coming in the near future.

This is nothing new from Crews. In fact, those in Baton Rouge are getting quite used to seeing this celebration. Joe Burrow pulled off the move when the football program finished off a dominant season in 2019. Angel Reese then followed suit in March when women’s basketball got the job done earlier this year.
Now, it’s Crews’ turn to celebrate.
Dylan Crews likely to end LSU career with national championship
Preseason expectations had LSU in this position. They were viewed as the clear No. 1 overall team, with Crews’ presence at the top of the lineup being a huge reason. Sure, Paul Skenes and Tommy White coming via the NCAA transfer portal contributed. But Crews was the returning star and expected to break out.

Delivering on those expectations can be tough for most teams. The Tigers were able to do so and potentially more. Crews had a season nobody in Baton Rouge will ever forget, being named the Golden Spikes Award winner. He will soon be a top MLB Draft pick, likely at No. 1 or No. 2.
But nothing will be sweeter than his national championship. Crews would have been a top draft pick back in 2020, being highly thought of coming out of high school. Instead, he decided to participate in college baseball and play for the LSU Tigers.
The risk paid off in a big way, both on the field and with his draft stock. Monday night will be a fitting ending to what was an incredible career for Dylan Crews — with a huge dogpile near the pitching mound.
