LSU received sad news on Monday that Kevione Faulk, the daughter of LSU running backs coach Kevin Faulk, died Monday.

LSU head coach Ed Orgeron paid his respects in a statement on Twitter.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Coach Faulk and his family as we mourn the loss of his daughter Kevione,” Orgeron said. “Her smile and personality will be sorely missed in our building. May she Rest In Peace.”

Kevione was a student worker for the LSU football staff, according to the team’s Twitter.

LSU released a statement announcing her passing.

“We are heartbroken with the passing of Kevione Faulk, and our thoughts and prayers are with the Faulk family and all of those who love Kevione,” LSU’s statement read. “She was a part of the LSU family, and we mourn the loss of a daughter, a sister, a friend, a classmate and a colleague. We ask that all Tigers keep the Faulks in their prayers and respect their privacy at this difficult time.”

Kevin Faulk is an LSU alumnus and in college racked up over 4,500 rushing yards in four seasons, making him LSU’s all-time leading rusher. He won three Super Bowls over the course of a 12-year NFL career, all of which he spent with the New England Patriots.
