The nation’s top prospect and No. 4 wide receiver are among the numerous elite prospects visiting LSU this weekend.

Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin four-star receiver Jaime Ffrench posted a photo alongside Belleville (Mich.) Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Bryce Underwood and LSU head coach Brian Kelly on Friday.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Ffrench was a one-time Alabama commit who decommitted from the Tide days after the retirement of legendary head coach Nick Saban. Underwood pledged to the Tigers in early January, choosing LSU over in-state Michigan.

“I definitely want to hit the reset button with my recruiting process because of the retirement of coach Saban and also, there is nobody currently there at Alabama who previously recruited me,” Ffrench told On3 following his decommitment. “I feel that it’s not fair for the schools who are head-over-heels about me, so I wanted to hit the reset button and take another look at things.”

Ffrench is the nation’s No. 22 overall prospect and No. 4 wide receiver in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 3 recruit in Florida.

Underwood ranks No. 1 overall in the 2025 class.

“LSU felt like home,” Underwood told On3 when he committed. “The relationship I built with the coaching staff is unbreakable. I’ve never felt an atmosphere better than LSU’s. It’s unreal.”

Busy visit weekend in Baton Rouge

Ffrench and Underwood are two of a long list of recruits in Baton Rouge this weekend. Other notables include Duncanville (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ LSU wide receiver commit Dakorien Moore, five-star cornerback DJ Pickett, five-star linebacker Jonah Williams, five-star LSU running back commit Harlem Berry and five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham.

LSU Class Breakdown

The Tigers have nine commitments so far in 2025, with all of them checking in as blue-chip prospects in the On3 Industry Ranking. The class features three five-stars (QB Bryce Underwood, RB Harlem Berry, WR Dakorien Moore) and six four-star prospects.

Seven of the nine future Tigers hail from the state of Louisiana, a recruiting priority for head coach Brian Kelly since he took over. In 2024, LSU signed 13 of the state’s top 17 prospects, including nine of the top 10.

The Tigers currently have the most blue-chip commitments in the country and the fifth-highest number of total commits as well. Seven are projected to play on the offensive side of the ball at the next level, while cornerback Jaboree Antoine and and linebacker Keylan Moses represent the defense.
