Florida State transfer WR Destyn Hill commits to LSU
Florida State transfer WR Destyn Hill has committed to LSU out of the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Sam Spiegelman of Rivals reported his commitment this morning.
Hill just finished his second season with the Seminoles. That comes after a two-year difference from when he committed to when he enrolled at FSU. Still, he appeared in 10 games as a freshman but missed all of this fall with a season-ending injury that he suffered during spring practice.
In those outings last season, Hill had six receptions for 87 yards.
Hill entered the portal at the start of the cycle just over a week ago.
Now, Hill is the eighth transfer addition for the Tigers. He comes in alongside one of of the best players, let alone receivers, in the portal in Barion Brown (Kentucky – No. 6 WR, No. 14). They’ll also be joined by TE Bauer Sharp (Oklahoma), CB Ja’Keem Jackson (Florida), QB Michael Van Buren (Mississippi State), CB Mansoor Delane (Virginia Tech), and DEs Jack Pyburn (Florida) and Jimari Butler (Nebraska).

Hill, a New Orleans native, also played high school football in the state at Edna Karr. He was the No. 109 overall recruit there as a four-star prospect in the 2021 cycle. He also rated as the No. 18 WR in the class and the No. 5 player out of Louisiana. That’s per On3’s Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
