Report: Former LSU offensive lineman Kardell Thomas expected to transfer from Florida A&M to Central Missouri
Former LSU offensive lineman Kardell Thomas, now a Florida A&M player, is expected to transfer yet again.
According to a report from 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz, Thomas “is expected to transfer to Central Missouri” from Florida A&M after spending one season with Rattlers.
Thomas played in 11 games for Florida A&M last season, during the 2023 campaign. He’ll now head to a highly competitive Central Missouri program.
Prior to transferring to Florida A&M, Kardell Thomas spent four seasons at LSU. He arrived in 2019 and redshirted as a true freshman, with a preseason ankle injury slowing his progress.
Thomas then appeared in just one game during his redshirt freshman season in 2020.
He began to earn a little more playing time as a sophomore in 2021, seeing time in six games while making two starts. He racked up 124 total snaps during the season, playing mostly right guard, where his two starts came.

As a junior in 2022, Kardell Thomas played a backup role at both guard positions, appearing in four games. He totaled only 78 snaps during his junior season, and he opted to transfer to a lower level after the year was done.
By the time his LSU career was done, Thomas had appeared in 11 games across three seasons, earning a total of 206 snaps for the Tigers.
Prior to enrolling at LSU, Kardell Thomas was ranked as a four-star prospect and one of the top 100 recruits in the 2019 recruiting class. He was tabbed as the nation’s No. 93 overall recruit and the No. 4 interior offensive lineman in the class.
Thomas also checked in as the No. 5 overall player in the state of Louisiana in his cycle, hailing from Baton Rouge (LA) Southern University Lab School.
