LOOK: Former LSU linebacker Josh White reveals transfer portal decision

Former LSU Tigers linebacker Josh White is out of the transfer portal after a very short stint and has landed with last season’s Big 12 champs, the Baylor Bears. White announced that he would transfer to Baylor for his 2022 season from his Twitter account. And with that decision, he is now heading back home to the state of Texas.

White had offers from the Texas LonghornsTCU Horned FrogsMiami HurricanesNebraska Cornhuskers, and Colorado Buffaloes along with Baylor, according to The Athletic’s Max Olson. But White ultimately went with the Bears and made his announcement with this post.

When White entered the transfer portal, he was the number 14th ranked linebacker to enter this season, according to On3 Sports transfer rankings. The former 2020 recruit was the 16th ranked linebacker in his class and the 14th best player coming out of the state of Texas. White leaves LSU after recording just six total tackles, two of which were solo, for the Tigers last season.
