Four-Star CB Cai Bates decommits from LSU
Four-star cornerback Cai Bates of Orlando (FL) Edgewater High announced his decommitment from LSU Monday night.
The 6-foot-2, 185 pounder had been committed to the Tigers since July.
Bates sent a statement to On3 regarding his decommitment:
“After talking with my family and coaches and lots of prayer, I decided to make this decision to give myself the best chance to make a great decision for myself and my future.”

Bates ranks as the No. 101 player according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 11 cornerback and the No. 16 player in the state of Florida.
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $112K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
