Top100 edge rusher Jesse Harrold commits to LSU
Tampa (Fla.) Robinson On300 edge rusher Jesse Harrold will play his college football at LSU. He announced his decision to play for the Tigers on Saturday afternoon.
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Harrold was in Baton Rouge last weekend for his official visit. He becomes commit No. 13 in a class that On3 ranked No. 2 in the country prior to his pledge.
“LSU was always consistent in the recruiting process and made it known they want to build something special with the 25 class and to be able to compete for a National Championship,” Harrold said. “Also they always preach graduate champions.
“And they make it clear they want to develop.”
There is a lot to develop with Harrold who is tabbed by the On3 Industry as the nation’s No. 15 edge and No. 100 prospect overall. On3 is higher on Harrold slotting him No. 9 and No. 66 respectively.

“It felt like home away from home,” Harrold said. “I felt welcomed and feel like they really want me there and I fit well into the scheme to be able to be a true edge.”
Kevin Peoples and Blake Baker led the charge in recruiting Harrold who adds to a class that includes fellow Top100 recruits in quarterback Bryce Underwood, running back Harlem Berry, cornerback Jaboree Antoine, offensive linemen Carius Curne, Tyler Miller and Devin Harper and linebacker Charles Ross.
