Joe Foucha reacts to being declared eligible after serving 4-game suspension
LSU transfer defensive back Joe Foucha has his eligibility back after serving a four-game suspension to start the season. Foucha had an issue with his credits after making the move from Arkansas, but he’ll finally make his debut for his home state school on Saturday versus Auburn.
The senior safety reacted to his renewed eligibility with the media on Wednesday.
“It feels great. The four weeks I was out, I was still preparing every day like a game,” Foucha said. “Now that I finally have the opportunity to practice and prepare, now that I get to play Saturday, I’m just ready to go.

“For anyone, it’s pretty hard (watching from the sideline). My teammates, coaches, kept me going, and me just having the want-to, it kept me going as well. I went to scout team day in and day out preparing hard for this moment.”
The Tigers bring a 3-1 record into the road game versus Bryan Harsin’s squad. They’re the favorites on the road, however, Auburn has the talent to make it a very interesting game.
“It’s an SEC game so I’m definitely excited,” Foucha said. “It’s going to be a big game Saturday and it’s definitely going to be a big game for me since it’s my debut.”

Foucha excited to play first game in LSU stadium
As excited as he is to join his teammates for the road game at Auburn this weekend, Foucha is equally elated about upcoming games at Tiger Stadium. The New Orleans native has experienced the game day environment in Baton Rouge many times. However, he wasn’t suited up in the purple and gold.
“It’s unmatched,” Foucha said. “I remember coming here as a kid, the stadium be rocking, it’s loud, the echoes bouncing off the wall, it’s unmatched. I’m really looking forward to it.
“I don’t want to be looking down the road, but just to hear that noise when we play Tennessee and I’m actually playing, it’s a different feeling. Ever since I’ve been here the home games have been loud. I know Auburn’s going to be the same environment. Once you play here, it’s an unmatched environment.”
