Kyren Lacy's agent releases statement on homicide investigation, charges against LSU star
LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy’s agent has released a statement regarding the homicide investigation and charges against him stemming from a December 2024 car accident. Rocky Arceneaux of Alliance Sports addressed the situation and said Lacy is “fully cooperating” with authorities.
WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge reported Lacy is wanted on negligent homicide and felony hit-and-run charges stemming from a Dec. 17, 2024 accident that killed a former Marine and injured two others. Investigators alleged Lacy fled the scene of the accident, which occurred at approx. 10 a.m. ET, after initially causing it. He also did not report his involvement to police, according to investigators.
Arcenaux and Alliance are representing Lacy, who recently declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. He said the agency wouldn’t have any further comment on the matter, but is taking it “very seriously.”
“We are aware of the allegations that have been made regarding Kyren Lacy, and we want to take this opportunity to address them,” Arceneaux said. “First and foremost, Kyren is fully cooperating with the authorities. We strongly believe that the facts will ultimately demonstrate the truth, but we respect the need for a full and thorough investigation.
“We recognize the concern and questions that may arise from these recent allegations. To anyone impacted, directly or indirectly, we want to assure that this matter is being taken very seriously, and we are committed to resolving it responsibly. Out of respect for the investigation and everyone involved, we will not be making further comments at this time.”
Lacy is also wanted on a charge of reckless driving, according to court records. Louisiana State Police is currently “in communication with Lacy and his legal representation to turn himself in,” according to WAFB’s Ethan Tuttle.

According to the police report, Lacy was driving a 2023 Dodge Charger on Louisiana Highway 20 and “recklessly passed multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed by crossing the centerline and entering the northbound lane while in a designated No-Passing Zone.”
At that point, a northbound driver in a pickup truck abruptly hit the breaks and swerved to avoid a head-on-collision with Lacy’s Dodge Charger, forcing a Kia Cadenza that was behind the pickup to swerve left, crossing the centerline and hitting a southbound Kia Sorrento head-on, according to the police report via WAFB.
A passenger in the Kia Sorrento, Herman Hall of Thibodaux, was critically injured and later died at a local hospital, according to investigators. Hall, 78, was a former Marine.
Lacy declared for the draft two days after the crash. He put up big numbers this season at LSU, totaling 866 yards and nine receiving touchdowns, generating some notable buzz in draft circles.
