The LSU football team will play its final home game in style, as the Tigers revealed they will wear all-white alternate uniforms for the regular season finale against Texas A&M. Entering at 5-6, LSU is playing for bowl eligibility on Senior Day.

The LSU alternate uniforms feature a white helmet with purple and yellow stripes down the middle. Similarly, the uniforms are mostly white save for some stripes.

Saturday’s contest will also be the last time that coach Ed Orgeron steps into Tiger Stadium as the LSU head coach. The school and coach came to an agreement to part ways at the conclusion of 2021. Since that announcement, the Tigers have gone just 1-3, with the lone win coming last week against Louisiana-Monroe. However, they lost to Alabama and Arkansas by less than a touchdown.

Oregon led LSU to a national championship victory and undefeated season in 2019, but hasn’t had much success since then. He has compiled a 10-11 record over the two ensuing seasons.

Should the Tigers fail to make a bowl game, it would mark the second consecutive season. LSU opted for a self-imposed bowl ban in 2020 in the midst of a 5-5 season and NCAA investigation.

LSU owns a 34-22-3 overall record against the Aggies, including 8-2 since A&M joined the SEC in 2011. However, both of Texas A&M’s victories have come in the past two seasons, and they enter as a six-point favorite.

Quarterback Max Johnson has led the Tigers all season and has 24 touchdowns to six interceptions. He’ll attempt to put up points against an Aggies unit that ranks second in the SEC in scoring defense.

Meanwhile, Texas A&M has enjoyed a winning season in each of the four years since Jimbo Fisher took over. After beginning this year in the top 10, they haven’t quite lived up to their potential, but should be in contention to make a decent bowl.

Kickoff between the Aggies and Tigers is set for 7 p.m. ET in Baton Rouge.
