LOOK: Tigers unveil alternate uniform for ULM game
The LSU Tigers are trying to switch up their mojo with a uniform swap on Saturday. Hoping to snap a three-game losing streak, the Tigers will don an alternate uni for their 9 p.m. kickoff in Baton Rouge versus Louisiana-Monroe.
Coach Ed Orgeron’s squad (at least for two more games) will rock white helmets, white pants and purple jerseys on Saturday. They wore the same look versus Vanderbilt during their national title-winning 2019 season.
In the reveal video, LSU included a clip of ESPN late-night host Scott Van Pelt discussing the specific combo on his show.
“White hats, white pants, purple tops, even I would look sexy in that,” Van Pelt said.
In the clip, Van Pelt requests that the Tigers make the white-white-purple combo a permanent staple in their rotation. Fellow ESPN commentator, and LSU alum, Booger McFarland responded, “I don’t think we’re ever going to make it a permanent thing, but it is a good change-up uniform.”
The LSU football Twitter account also sent SVP a shoutout: “Just for you.”
The Tigers are a disappointing 4-6 this season and potentially headed for their worst year of SEC play since the late 90s.

Riley sounds off on LSU interest
Ever since LSU athletic director Scott Woodward formally cut ties with Ed Orgeron, it was known he wanted to make a splash with the new hire. Some of the biggest names in college football have been linked, mainly Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher.
Oklahoma’s Lincoln Riley has been in the rumor mill for some time now as well. When asked about the possibility of going to Baton Rouge, the Sooners head coach made it clear he’s happy in Norman.
“I coach at the University of Oklahoma,” Riley said on Tuesday. “You know how I feel about this place and this program. We’ve all been down this road many times before. You guys know where I stand and that hasn’t changed.”
Riley was hired in 2017 after legendary head coach Bob Stoops retired. Overall, Riley has a 54-9 record during his time as the Oklahoma head coach.
The Sooners are 9-1 this season, fresh off a loss to Baylor.
