LSU analyst Antonio Parks was charged with one count of felony strangulation Monday, according to online records from the Oregon Judicial Department. Parks was previously a staff member at Oregon before arriving in Baton Rouge last month.

The allegations stem from an alleged December incident after a woman posted a video called, “A Day in the Life of a Stay at Home Girlfriend,” according to The Oregonian. Parks allegedly told the woman to delete the video, but she refused. That’s when she said he pushed her onto a bed and strangled her for 30-60 seconds.

In a statement to The Advocate, an LSU spokesperson said the school is aware of the report. However, the school did not have any further comment.

“We are aware of the report and working through the appropriate parties,” the statement read. “We don’t have any further comment at this time.”

According to The Oregonian, an affidavit showed the woman took photos of her injuries from the alleged incident Dec. 17, and she said it took place in mid-December. Parks was arrested March 2, and it’s unclear why there was such a delay between the alleged incident and his arrest. The video has since been deleted.

Parks received a conditional release from jail on Wednesday, according to records. He spoke with The Oregonian about the situation and maintained he was innocent.

“I maintain my innocence, and I know the truth,” Parks told The Oregonian. “I’m a low-level coach. It’s a waste of time to just go ahead and ruin someone’s career.”

Antonio Parks spent two years on the staff at Oregon as an analyst after playing defensive back at the college level. That came after stints at Arizona State and UTSA as a defensive analyst.

Parks played college football at UTSA and started all 14 games in 2021. During that span, he totaled 49 tackles and two interceptions while helping the Roadrunners to 12 wins for the first time in school history. Prior to his time at UTSA, Parks played two seasons at Arizona.

At LSU, Parks is expected to work with the wide receivers. He has a connection to the staff from his time at UTSA, where he played for current Tigers assistant head coach and running backs coach Frank Wilson.
