LSU Baseball IF Austen Roellig enters NCAA Transfer Portal
LSU Baseball infielder Austen Roellig has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned.
Roellig’s biography, via the LSU team’s website, reads as follows: “No. 11 ranked shortstop and No. 37 ranked overall player in the state of California by Perfect Game. Ranked as the No. 51 shortstop in the nation by Perfect Game. Posted a .357 career batting average in four seasons at Etiwanda High School with 100 base hits, 25 doubles, one triple, four homers, 93 runs, 47 RBI and a .449 on-base percentage.

“Helped lead Etiwanda High in 2022 to the California Interscholastic Federation-Southern Section Division II championship, batting .446 in his junior season with 37 hits, 34 runs scored, 19 RBI, 12 doubles, two home runs and a .551 on-base percentage. Underwent Tommy John surgery in between his junior and senior high school seasons and returned after intensive rehab to play in 27 games in 2023 for Etiwanda High.”
