The Tigers boast an absolutely stacked lineup and they’ve been playing like the team that many people expected them to be this year. There’s a reason they were pegged as the No. 1 team in the country in preseason polls. They currently have a 24-3 overall record for the 2023 season, including 6-2 in the SEC. Tiger fans have shown up in force and they’ve set some attendance records at Alex Box Stadium the past two nights.
The win on Friday night gave the Tigers the win in the series over the Vols, after they won Thursday night’s game, 5-2. LSU starting pitcher Ty Floyd earned his fifth victory of the season on Friday and he’s currently 5-0 this year. The final game of the three-game series is slated for Saturday, April 1. That one is slated for 1:00 PM.
