LSU guard Adam Miller announces return to Tigers
Guard Adam Miller began his collegiate career at Illinois during the 2020-2021 season before he transferred to LSU ahead of this past season. Miller unfortunately tore his ACL in the summer, and he did not play for the Tigers this year. Following the season, Miller entered the transfer portal.
Early in May, it was reported that Miller was down to two schools. He was expected to either return to LSU or leave to join the TCU Horned Frogs.
On Friday, On3’s Joe Tipton reported that Miller is returning to LSU next season.
Miller was the 19th-rated point guard to enter the portal during this cycle. New LSU head coach Matt McMahon has seen a complete revamp of the Tigers roster since taking over, but retaining Miller is a very important development at this point in the offseason.
At Illinois as a freshman, Miller played in 31 games with 29 starts, playing 25.5 minutes per game. He posted a line of 8.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.6 steals. Miller shot 39.1% from the field at Illinois, and he shot 34% from three-point range and 68.4% from the free throw line. With the Fighting Illini, Miller was part of the team that won the Big Ten Tournament title and made it to the 2021 NCAA Tournament as a No. 1 seed.
