Devon Pryor, a three-star small forward in the class of 2024, has committed to LSU.

The 6-foot-7, 180-pound fast-rising junior out of Houston (Texas) PSAT Academy made an unofficial visit to Baton Rouge on Monday, where he decided to become a Tiger.

“LSU is the closest thing to a second home for me,” Pryor said to On3. “My roots run deep there. I feel as if I fit in their system. The environment that is provided by players I encountered and Coach McMahon and the staff is something I greatly appreciate. LSU is the place where I feel like I can better myself not only as a basketball player but a person.”

Devon’s father, Alfred, is originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, and the Pryor family are life-long LSU fans.

Pryor picked up an offer from LSU after head coach Matt McMahon watched him play a couple weekends back in Bryan, Texas for Adidas 3SSB. Pryor plays with One Time Legends, coached by Tracy McGrady.

While he is currently rated as a three-star recruit, Pryor is unranked nationally by On3 but expect that to change in the near future. Pryor ranks as the No. 204 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings — the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies (ESPN, 247Sports, Rivals, On3)

Along with LSU, Pryor also received offers from Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Colorado, Oklahoma State, and others.

Devon Pryor is a high-upside wing that is on the rise nationally. He’s fluid, long, athletic, and can create his own shot. At 6-foot-7, he has great positional size and a skillset that translates to the next level. Pryor is a quality three-point shooter.
