LSU defensive line coach Andre Carter made a visit down the road from the school’s campus Wednesday to the home of Baton Rouge (La.) Madison Prep Academy four-star defensive lineman Quency Wiggins.

The Tigers are one of Wiggins’ three finalists along with Alabama and Florida.

Wiggins ranks as the No. 77 player overall in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting companies. He is the 10th-best defensive lineman in the nation and the sixth-best recruit in Louisiana.

Of the five recruits ranked higher than him in the state, two are committed to LSU and three are uncommitted.

The Tigers have 13 commits in its class, including two defensive linemen: Edna Karr (New Orleans, LA) four-star Tygee Hill and Lafayette (La.) Lafayette Christian Academy three-star Fitzgerald West.

Quency Wiggins would be one of the top four recruits in the LSU class along with Monroe (La.) Neville five-star offensive lineman Will Campbell, and Lafayette (La.) St. Thomas More four-star quarterback Walker Howard and Bogart (Ga.) Oconee County four-star tight end Jake Johnson.
