LSU football coach Ed Orgeron provides latest injury updates
LSU football coach Ed Orgeron provided injury updates on a number of Tigers ahead of a Saturday contest against Louisiana-Monroe. He gave the (mostly) good news first before delivering the bad.
“Micah Baskerville is still a question mark,” Orgeron said in his opening statement. “He’s going to be a game-time decision. We get Sage Ryan back. We’ve got (Ed) Ingram back. The offense line should be in tact and ready to go.”
The return of Ryan will be huge for the LSU secondary, while Ingram should return as a starting guard for an offensive line that was ravaged by injuries last week. Baskerville managed to play last week, racking up 12 tackles and two sacks. He ranks second on the team in tackles with 71 this season.
Later on, Orgeron was asked for injury updates on LSU players who definitely wouldn’t be available and provided an answer.
“Armoni (Goodwin) is not,” he said. “Tre (Bradford) is not. Josh (White) is doubtful. He’s the other one that is doubtful I think could play.”

Goodwin, a freshman running back, saw limited action the past couple of weeks against Alabama and Arkansas. Bradford, an Oklahoma transfer, has not played this season.
LSU must win both of its remaining games if it hopes to become bowl eligible. The Tigers already announced they would part ways with Orgeron at the end of this season. The coach won a national championship in 2019 but has just a 9-11 record since.
The Tigers are in the midst of a three-game losing streak after dropping a game in overtime against Arkansas in Week 11. It was the second straight week they lost by less than a touchdown. Prior to that, they fell to Alabama in a close game, 20-14.
LSU takes on Louisiana-Monroe at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday in Baton Rouge. After that the Tigers close out the year against Texas A&M.
