LSU star Georgia Clark was ejected from Sunday’s elimination game against Louisiana. After fouling out in the sixth inning, Clark appeared to exchange words with the umpire, who signaled to throw her out.

Clark was apparently upset about a strike call earlier in the at bat that she felt was incorrect.

“I think she turned back to the umpire and said, ‘that’s on you,'” ESPN’s Francesca Enea said on the broadcast. “Feeling slighted for that strike. The one given on her earlier in the at bat when she showed the bunt. Wow. …I don’t like the toss. I understand you’re fired up. This is a pressure moment. Could be potentially your last game here. You want to be able to keep your composure, but you cannot take a player out of the game that quickly.”

Prior to the ejection, Clark was 2-for-3 at the plate with a team-high three RBI. She started off the scoring after the Tigers got down 6-0, hitting a solo home run in the second.

LSU found itself up 8-7 at the time of Clark’s ejection. However, the Ragin’ Cajuns came through to score a pair of runs in the seventh, with a single from Jourdyn Campbell driving in Karly Heath for the go-ahead score. The Tigers managed just one hit in the bottom of the inning as they saw their season come to an end.

Georgia Clark also criticizes umpire in first game against Louisiana

LSU also lost to Louisiana 7-4 in the first game Sunday, and Clark had words for the umpire then, too. There was a controversial ruling in the top of the seventh inning, when the Tigers were mounting a threat with two runners on base.

Clark belted a ball down the left field line that was ruled a foul. It would have been potentially a game-tying home run.

The Tigers’ head coach wanted a review of the foul. The umpire told her it could not be reviewed, Clark grounded out on the next pitch, and the game was over. Rest assured, Clark did not forget about the controversial ruling in their second game with ULL on Sunday evening. Trailing 6-0, the LSU star smacked a home run and made sure to let the umpire know about his bad ruling in their previous game.
