This Friday marks the final regular season meet for the LSU gymnastics team as the No. 2 ranked Tigers will host North Carolina before the SEC Championships kick off on March 23.

Friday’s meet could also be the final time that LSU star Livvy Dune competes in Maravich Center for the Tigers, but the senior does still have one more season of eligibility remaining. On Monday ahead of the meet, Dunne was asked if senior night will be her last home meet and if she has decided what her future will hold following the season.

“I’ve not decided if I’m coming back for a fifth year yet,” Dunne said. “I could, but I haven’t really thought about it yet. I’m so focused on the end of this year and brining home the national championship.”

Dunne has become an NIL superstar during her college career at LSU, ranked No. 3 on the On3 NIL 100 only behind Bronny James and Shedeur Sanders with an On3 NIL valuation of $3.5 million. Boasting 12.4 million followers between her Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok accounts.

Regarded as ‘the most followed NCAA athlete on social media’, Dunne has landed big time sponsorships from from Vuori Clothing, American Eagle, Plant Fuel, Bartleby, and others throughout her career. And there’s no question that another season in Baton Rouge would definitely present more name, image, and likeness opportunities for the gymnast from Hillsdale, New Jersey.

But at the moment it’s clear that Dunne’s focus is on finishing the regular season strong with the postseason right around the corner.

Prior to joining LSU in 2021 Dunne qualified for the 2020 Nastia Liukin Cup, competed at the 2016 and 2017 P&G Championship, and 2017 U.S. Classic. Earning WCGA Academic All-American honors as a true freshman at LSU for the uneven bars.

Dunne continues to specialize in the bars, posting a 9.875 score matching teammate Kiya Johnson on the bars in the team’s most recent meet at the Podium Challenge in Raising Cane’s River Center. With Dunne also matching career high with a 9.900 in the leadoff spot on floor.

LSU moved back up to No. 2 in the national polls and only trail Oklahoma after finishing on top at the Podium Challenge over No. 14 Auburn, George Washington, and Texas Woman’s. Where they scored their second highest score of the season at 198.425, which set a new program-high road score.

The Tigers’ NQS score of 198.125 represents their best in program history, as Dunne will continue focusing on trying to make history by helping LSU secure their first ever national title before deciding her next move.
