The LSU Tigers have had a number of critical players injured on Saturday night against New Mexico in the second half. Running back Armoni Goodwin was seen grabbing the back of his leg following a tackle. Then, later in the third quarter, quarterback Jayden Daniels slammed his head on the turf, after he was tackled to the ground following a run. He was tackled to the ground rather violently by two Lobos defenders after he scrambled to his left for a 16-yard gain. Scott Rabalais reported on Twitter that Daniels was back on the LSU bench after spending some time in the medical tent, but it sounds like he won’t return to the New Mexico game, since the team has a comfortable lead.

Goodwin was down on the ground for a little bit and was tended to by the LSU trainers, before heading into the medical tent and then the locker room with Tigers’ medical personnel in the third quarter. He eventually returned to the sideline.
