Report: LSU offensive lineman Anthony Bradford out vs Mississippi State
LSU offensive lineman Anthony Bradford has been ruled out of Saturday night’s matchup between the Tigers and Mississippi State, according to Brody Miller of The Athletic. With Bradford out, it will be the third different starting offensive line combination for LSU in three games, per BengalTiger’s Shea Dixon. Desmond Little and Marcus Dumervil are both also out against Mississippi State. They were all dressed in sweats ahead of the game.
Bradford’s loss was big because of his versatility along the Tigers’ offensive line. He’s made starts at both guard and tackle thus far during his career. He emerged from fall camp during the 2021 season as a starter during his sophomore campaign. Bradford is massive and tips the scales at 6-foot-5, 345-pounds, so clearly, he’s a tough man to replace for obvious reasons.
Coming out of high school, Bradford was rated as a top 15 interior offensive lineman in the country, according to the On3 Consensus Rankings for the 2019 cycle. He blocked for a quarterback who broke the Muskegon High school passing record. The program was the winningest program in Michigan state high school history. The mammoth offensive lineman showed off his strength at a combine in the summer of 2018, cranking out 31 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.

LSU won on Saturday night, 31-16 in a pretty hard-fought game. The Tigers poured on 21 points in the fourth quarter to pull away from Mississippi State. The LSU defense did an excellent job against Bulldogs signal-caller Will Rogers, limiting him to just 214 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception. It will likely go down as one of the worst performances of the season for Rogers. He just completed 57 percent of his passes.
LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels had a dazzling performance, racking up over 300 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in the winning effort.
