LSU offensive tackle Emery Jones has announced that he will enter the 2025 NFL Draft, forgoing his remaining collegiate eligibility.

Jones is widely expected to be one of the top offensive linemen taken in this year’s draft, projected as an early-round selection by most prognosticators and publications.

“To my God and angels (Emery Jones Sr) that watch over me, I’m not done yet, I ask that you continue to watch over me and guide me throughout this next chapter of life,” Jones wrote on Twitter. “With that being said… I will be declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft. Go Tigers!”

During his time at LSU, Emery Jones appeared in 38 contests, starting 36 of them. LSU’s offensive line will miss him.

On his way out, Jones made it clear how much he enjoyed his time in Baton Rouge.

“Baton Rouge has ALWAYS been, and will ALWAYS be, my home,” Jones wrote. “Growing up in Baton Rouge, attending games at Tiger Stadium instilled in me a deep sense of pride and a longing to one day represent the state of Louisiana by running out of that tunnel in Death Valley on a Saturday night.

“I want to express my sincere gratitude to the coaches and staff who have shaped my development as both a football player and a person. I also want to thank my family and friends for their contributions to the man I have become.”

Prior to enrolling at LSU, Emery Jones was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 100 overall recruit in the 2022 recruiting class. He also checked in as the No. 6 interior offensive lineman in the class and the No. 10 overall player from the state of Louisiana that cycle, hailing from Baton Rouge (LA) Catholic.
