WATCH: LSU outlast Wake Forest with last second basket by Justice Hill

The LSU Tigers men’s basketball team was in a grueling fight against the ACC’s Wake Forest on Saturday afternoon. However, LSU found a way to overcome the Demon Deacons late.
With seconds left to play in the game and the score tied at 70-70, the Tigers scored the go-ahead basket with an impressive move, drive, and finish by guard Justice Hill. That score put LSU up 72-70 and was the difference in the game as they went on to win by that final score.
Hill didn’t do much in the game when it came to scoring but tied for the most assist in the game for LSU with six. The senior guard came up clutch with the bucket, scoring just his second basket of the game. Hill finished the game with four points on 2-6 shooting from the field. He may have finished the game with just four points, but hill saved his best for last, helping LSU pick up their eighth victory on the season and improving to 8-1.

LSU big has a big night
A career night from Tigers senior forward KJ Williams paced LSU’s offense against Wake Forest. Williams ended the game with 35 points on 14-of-21 shooting from the field. But it was the senior’s sensational three-point shooting that stole the show. Williams went 7-9 shooting from behind the arc and was arguably the difference in the game.
Up next for LSU is a home game on Dec. 13 against the North Carolina Central Eagles. North Carolina Central comes will enter the game 5-5 after losing the last matchup against Marquette 90-78. This will be the Tigers’ third to last game before they start the conference-heavy portion of their schedule. LSU’s conference play will begin three days after Christmas on Dec. 28 against the top-ten ranked Arkansas Razorbacks at home in an evening contest.
