LSU transfer portal activity at pitcher

Seo follows the a trend of a mass transfer portal exodus for LSU this offseason specifically in their bullpen. With Seo joining Javen ColemanCam JohnsonNick Bronzini, and Samuel Dutton as former Tigers’ pitchers to enter the portal. With catcher Brady Neal also entering the transfer portal on Monday. But despite losing some depth in the bullpen, head coach Jay Johnson has done an excellent job of securing commitments from pitchers out of the transfer portal as well.

Wofford transfer pitchers Zac CowanCamden Wicker both committed to LSU after being the Terriers’ two aces last season. With Cowan earning First-Team All-Southern Conference after going 10-2 on the mound last season with a 3.35 ERA and Wicker having an impressive true freshman season where he was named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team.

Former Indiana State pitcher Luke Hayden also committed to the Tigers following a 7-2 on the mound last season for the Sycamores with a 3.81 ERA and 91 strikeouts in 78 innings pitched.

Outside of pitchers, former Auburn outfielder Chris Stanfield announced his commitment to LSU on Tuesday. Joining the Tigers with a .278 career batting average along with 97 hits, 47 RBIs, and 18 stolen basses in his two seasons on The Plains.
