LSU freshman tight end Jackson McGohan entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Wednesday afternoon. Coming out of high school, he was ranked as a three-star prospect in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.

He was rated as the No. 29 tight end prospect in the country and the No. 554 overall player in America. McGohan played his high school football for Miamisburg High School in Miamisburg, Ohio.

He played in eight games this year for the LSU Tigers but logged no stats.

He was one of the nation’s top tight end prospects in the 2023 cycle. McGohan led the Greater Western Ohio Conference with 52 catches for 941 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2022. He also finished with a season-high 11 catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns in the season finale. As a junior in 2021, he hauled in 47 catches for 699 yards and 10 touchdowns.

When he chose LSU, McGohan picked them over offers from Ohio, Cincinnati, Oklahoma, and Miami.
