The LSU Tigers have found themselves in a familiar position during the Regional Round as they trailed Southern Miss 7-6, heading into the bottom of the eighth inning. However, outfielder Gavin Dugas has knotted things up at 7 with a solo shot to open up the eighth inning.

With a 3-1 count, Southern Miss pitcher Landon Harper tossed one square over the plate, and Dugas made him pay for it. That game-tying homerun can be seen in the video below.

So far in this Regional Round, LSU has come back from a late deficit in their first game against Kennesaw State. They also had a late rally against the Golden Eagles in their first matchup. However, in their game, on Sunday, LSU could not make another improbable comeback and fell 8-4, forcing Monday’s game. If The tigers can complete one more comeback, they will find themselves headed to the Super Regional round.
