Arkansas Razorbacks defensive back transferring back home
LSU Tigers head coach Brian Kelly has the task of rebuilding the secondary room during his first season in Baton Rouge. Most of the work has been done through the transfer portal, with a big name announcing he will be heading back to The Boot.
Arkansas defensive back Joe Foucha will be transferring to LSU he announced via Twitter on Tuesday. A New Orleans, LA native, Foucha is another example of the Tigers being a huge draw for in-state players.
“I got that beast in my eyes look like Tyson!,” Foucha said. “#NewEra #geauxtigers COMING HOME!”
Foucha played in 11 games for the Razorbacks this season, not appearing against Texas or in the bowl game against Penn State. He recorded 73 tackles and 7.5 tackles for a loss while two interceptions and seven passes defended.
Coming out of high school, Foucha was a three-star prospect according to the On3 Consensus. LSU did offer the defensive back and was alongside the likes of Alabama, Auburn, and Oklahoma going after his commitment. Foucha was originally a member of the 2018 class.

New LSU Tigers DB pens letter to Arkansas
Foucha entered the transfer portal on Jan. 5 and took less than a week to decide he wanted to play for the Tigers. Before leaving Fayetteville, the defensive back penned a letter to the Arkansas fans, thanking them for all of the support over the years.
“First and foremost, I would like to thank my lord and savior, Jesus Christ, for the ability to play the sport I love at such a high level,” Foucha said. I would also like to thank Coach Cooper and Coach Morris for bringing me to the University of Arkansas. To Coach Pittman and his staff, thank you for the continued support and development. To every teammate that took me in as a brother and a friend, I am beyond thankful for you, and I will always cherish the memories we’ve made. To the academic and training staff, thank you for all your instrumental help and guidance. And finally, to all of the amazing Razorbacks fans, thank you for you unwavering support through thick and thin. I am forever grateful!”
