LSU wide receiver Jaray Jenkins declares for 2023 NFL Draft
LSU wide receiver Jaray Jenkins announced his intention to enter the 2023 NFL Draft on Monday. Jenkins shared a heartfelt message to his fans, captioning the post, “Once A Tiger, Always A Tiger.”
The Tigers’ third-leading receiver this season will skip the postseason Citrus Bowl game and begin preparations now for the draft.
The senior from Jena, Louisiana wrapped up his fourth season in Baton Rouge with a loss in the SEC title game. This year, Jenkins posted 27 catches for 404 yards and six touchdowns.
Jenkins is one of the more explosive wideouts on the LSU roster. Last year, he snagged a 28-yard touchdown catch to lift the Tigers to a heart-stopping victory over the Texas A&M Aggies. He stepped up in a big way during the 2021 season, hauling in 34 catches for 502 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
Coming out of Jena High School in the 2018 signing class, Jenkins was a three-star prospect, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
