In a 90-79 win over Florida, LSU stars Angel Reese and Jasmine Carson had monster games that made SEC and school history. Reese posted an incredible stat line with a 25-15-5 game for the first time in 20 years of SEC play, while Carson hit seven three-pointers in the win to tie the Tigers’ school record against SEC opponents.

Angel Reese leads the way with huge game against Florida

Reese’s stat line was the best all-around mark in two decades of play, finishing the night with 25 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. It was the first 25-15-5 game in an SEC conference game over 20 seasons, and she did it with an efficient 12-of-16 shooting performance.

Meanwhile, Carson was hitting shots at an incredible 7-of-14 mark from beyond the arc — tying the Tigers’ school record for three pointers made against an SEC opponent.

The duo helped pave the way for LSU’s 25th win of the season as they currently sit as No. 5 in the latest rankings. The Tigers lost their first and only game of the season last week on the road against the defending national champion South Carolina Gamecocks.

LSU still holds a one-game lead over Tennessee for second place in the SEC standings this year, and with the NCAA tournament rapidly approaching the Tigers will look to Reese to continue to set the mark with performances like the one she had on Sunday.

For Reese her huge night was arguably not even her best performance this week as she posted a monster 36-point, 20-rebound game against Ole Miss on Thursday. The former Maryland star has made an incredible leap since joining the SEC, averaging 23.7 points and 15.5 rebounds on the season for the Tigers. In addition to getting to the free throw line more, her efficiency from the field has made her even more dominant as she shoots 54.1 percent from the field for the year.
