Mississippi State transfer cornerback Decamerion Richardson is scheduled to visit LSU, per Matt Zenitz. He recorded 164 tackles over the last two seasons as a starter for the Bulldogs.

In 2022, Richardson finished No. 9 in the SEC with 50 solo tackles and 85 total to go along with three passes defended. This fall, the numbers were similar, though Richardson defended seven passes and made 79 total tackles, good for 10th in the SEC this season.

Back in high school, Richardson attended and played football for Bossier High in Louisiana, where he was a three-star recruit by the On3 Industry Rankings, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was also rated as the No. 813 overall player the No. 74 cornerback in his cycle.

During Richardson’s visit, LSU will be in full preparation mode for its ReliaQuest Bowl game against Wisconsin on New Year’s Day. The Tigers are 8.5-point betting favorites two weeks out from that matchup, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
