Trae Hannibal says LSU must treat crowd like 'white noise' against Vanderbilt
After getting a win over Georgia in the first round of the SEC Tournament, LSU earned a game against Vanderbilt. The crowd is expected to be rowdy and LSU guard Trae Hannibal knows that the Tigers need to find a way to combat them.
Speaking to the media, Hannibal explained that they need to treat the crowd like they’re not even there and stay focused on playing together.
“You got to treat it like white noise,” Trae Hannibal said.
“Like tonight, we went out there, as long as our team knows we’re all together as one, we’ll be fine. Everything else, you just got to block it out, go out there, and have fun and play ball.”
This has been a very difficult season for LSU. The Tigers finished the regular season 14th in the SEC with just a 2-16 conference record. They take on Vanderbilt at 9:30 p.m. EST on Thursday, looking to keep their season alive.

“So, I think that we’ll be very fine for tomorrow,” Trae Hannibal concluded.
Derek Fountain will likely miss the Vanderbilt game
LSU head coach Matt McMahon didn’t completely rule Derek Fountain out of the game against Vanderbilt. However, he made it clear that the Tigers will likely be without him.
“We sure hope so, it’s a day to day injury suffered in practice earlier this week to his right shoulder. Hope to have him back tomorrow night but not counting on it. We’ll see how he responds to treatment,” McMahon said.
