LSU freshman receiver Deion Smith was turning heads in fall camp and now Tiger faithful are getting to watch his talents shine in the games.
Check out this absurd catch, where he mosses a Central Michigan defender, defensive back Donte Kent.
What a catch. Quarterback Max Johnson connected with Smith on the 28-yard touchdown catch. The score put LSU up 7-0 after the extra point.

One of the catches of the year by Deion Smith
The talented receiver had a breakout game, hauling in five catches for 135 yards and two touchdowns.
He also hauled in his first touchdown catch as a LSU Tiger this evening.

Deion Smith high school profile
Smith was one of the nation’s top receiver prospects coming out of high school. He played at Jackson Academy in Jackson, Mississippi as a senior. As a senior, he caught 36 passes for 640 yards and seven touchdowns.
As a junior at Provine, Smith hauled in 43 passes for 1,059 yards. He played his first three years of high school football at Provine, before transferring to Jackson Academy as a senior in 2020. A highly explosive player on special teams, Smith averaged 31.2 yards on punt returns and over 37 yards on kick returns in 2019.
LSU has no shortage of talent at wide receiver
The Tigers are absolutely loaded at the wide receiver position. Not only do they have a talented group of freshmen but they have one of the best receivers in college football right now in Kayshon Boutte.
