WATCH: Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase rekindle LSU connection for TD
You’ve seen this one before, but never like this. In their first game together since they were teammates at LSU, Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase connected for a beautiful touchdown.
Tied 7-7, Burrow looked towards his former LSU teammate to give the Bengals the lead. Moreover, Chase hauled in the beautiful throw, doing the rest of the work with his legs.
After reports surfaced of Chase mentioning the differences with the NFL-style football, a 50-yard touchdown puts any concern to bed.
Last season, Burrow was having a solid rookie season prior to suffering his injury. As he returns to the lineup, the Bengals gifted him his favorite college wide receiver in Chase by way of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Now, the former LSU duo have their first NFL connection. With Chase joining Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd, the Bengals offense has potential this year.
Luckily, it looks like Bengals fans dream of the connection between Burrow and Chase carrying over is coming true.

Ja’Marr Chase believes chemistry with Joe Burrow carries over from LSU
Earlier this summer, Chase mentioned that he believes his chemistry with Joe Burrow carries over from LSU to the Cincinnati Bengals.
In just their first game together, he’s vindicated in his comments.
“I would probably say we never lost it,” Chase said, via Keith Jenkins of the Cincinnati Enquirer. “Just a little communication with me and him if I might mess up and he’ll tell me what’s going on, tell me how he wants it, tell me what I see on the play so we’ll talk about it, correct it and that’s how it’s always been.”
The duo was one of the most productive in college football history, setting records on their way to a victory in the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship. Burrow had arguably the greatest season of any quarterback in college football history, and Chase was his go-to target.
To illustrate, Burrow passed for 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns. In addition, Chase tallied 84 receptions for 1,780 yards and 20 touchdowns. The offensive duo led LSU to an undefeated season in the process.
