WATCH: Mekhi Garner runs out of bounds during 40-yard dash attempt

At the NFL Combine the 40-yard dash is king, especially for skill position players. The further away from the ball you are, the faster you need to be.
So a good 40-yard dash can often make or break a Combine performance.
Unfortunately for LSU star Mekhi Garner, a mistake out of the blocks in his 40-yard dash ruined his time. Garner actually pulled up running out of bounds on one attempt.
Following his errant start, Garner was given a chance to run the 40-yard dash again.
His two recorded times, unofficially, clocked in at 4.55 and 4.63. Unfortunately a bad start can often throw a player off for multiple attempts and that appeared to be the case with Garner.
Thatโll make a better showing at LSUโs Pro Day in a couple weeks a necessity.
Garner had a productive season at LSU in 2022, tallying 43 tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss and eight passes defended.
