On3 5-Star Countdown: No. 19, OT Weston Davis
On3 has updated its recruiting ranking for the 2024 class following the completion of the high school regular season for prospects. Beaumont (Texas) United offensive tackle and LSU commit Weston Davis checks in as a five-star and the No. 19 overall prospect the latest 2024 On300.
Davis flipped his commitment from Texas A&M to LSU last month after previously being pledged to the Aggies since June.
The latest edition of On3’s 2024 rankings features 20 five-star players, up one from the previous update in September. Of those 20 prospects, 19 are already committed to college programs.
While some recruits may have played their last down as a high schooler, evaluations — both in-person and on tape — are far from over. This latest ranking sets the table for the important final ranking in January 2024. That last update comes after postseason all-star games, where top prospects across the country face off during a week of practices and end with games in Orlando and San Antonio. Following those evaluations, the 2024 On300 will finish with 32 five-star prospects.

Weston Davis Scouting Summary
“Light-footed, flexible offensive tackle with one of the higher developmental upsides among offensive linemen in the 2024 cycle. Measured in at over to 6-foot-5, and north of 280 pounds in the spring prior to his senior year. Has plus length for the position with arms that have measured over 35-inches. Was a basketball-first athlete prior to taking up football in high school. Still relatively new to the game, but has shown considerable upside. Has high-end movement skills.
… Easily works to the second level as a run blocker and has burst and bounce in his movements. Shows budding physicality as a run blocker and works to finish blocks. Has the natural skill set to develop into a gifted pass protector. Will need time to gain strength and mass along with honing his technique. Should benefit from a redshirt year and time in a college strength program. Doubles as a contributor on Beaumont United’s nationally-ranked basketball team.”
