3-star CG Adrien Stevens commits to Marquette
Adrien Stevens, a three-star combo guard in the 2025 class, tells On3 he has committed to Marquette and head coach Shaka Smart.
The 6-foot-4 rising senior out of The Bullis School (MD) ultimately chose the Golden Eagles over a top group of Georgetown, Florida State, Notre Dame, Villanova, and Tennessee.
Stevens becomes Marquette’s fourth commitment in the class, joining three-star PG Nigel James, three-star SF Ian Miletic, and four-star SG Michael Phillips.
Stevens is the No. 159 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He’s also the No. 11 combo guard prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Stevens on his commitment to Marquette
Adrien Stevens discussed his decision to choose Marquette with On3.
“I chose Marquette because of relationships,” he said. “The relationship they built with my family and I, the investment they put in me and my development up to this point was something I couldn’t look past. They have a clear plan for me and that was something I was looking for in a school.”

Marquette’s belief in him and making him a priority made all the difference for Stevens.
“A lot of people say things such as ‘we believe in you’ and ‘you’d do great here’ and the typical recruiting phrases that they throw out. Coach Smart and his staff showed me. They were relentless in their pursuit. I felt like everywhere I turned my head, Marquette was always there no matter what. That willingness to always show up will be a direct reflection of the investment they will continue to make when I get to school there.”
In his own words, what type of player is Marquette getting in Adrien Stevens?
“I would describe myself as someone who makes winning plays. I like to get my offense going by starting it on the defensive end, starting with effort plays that give me and my teammates energy, then I like to press the advantages I can on the opposing team at all times.”
He has a message for Marquette fans.
“I can ensure that every time I step in the floor, I will control the controllable things. I will always play hard, and play with energy and passion, and contribute to winning.”
